HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A PHOTOGRAPHER?

I shot my very first wedding in 2013, and I will remember it forever. It was a small church wedding for my grandfather and his wife followed by a casual reception at our family cabin. I was SO nervous, but I knew how special these photographs would become not only to my grandfather, but to so many of our friends and family. That’s why I love what I do. Photos keep our loved ones close forever. They preserve those memories perfectly.


WHERE ARE YOU BASED, & DO YOU TRAVEL?

I LOVE to travel for all of my sessions! Even though I’m based in southern Wisconsin I will always welcome the opportunity to explore somewhere new with my clients. Out-of-state weddings are so much fun, and my travel fees are simple & straightforward! I’ll never charge more than I need because I’m in this for the experience. Road trips, camping, cross-country flights, I welcome it all!


DO YOU EDIT YOUR PHOTOS?

Yes I do! Post-processing is time-intensive, and I work hard to ensure the quality of your gallery. All of the final images you receive will have a custom look that adjusts for things like brightness and even skin tone. I want your photos to feel warm, real, and timeless.


HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL I RECEIVE?

Your gallery size will vary depending on your session! For weddings & elopements you can expect anywhere between 300-800 images depending on your chosen package. For couples & engagement sessions, between 75 and 125 images. For families, boudoir & seniors, between 50 and 100. I’ll admit right now that I am a super trigger-happy photographer, and will often send some extra frames your way because there’s just too many good ones!


HOW & WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?

Wedding & elopement galleries take up to 10 weeks to complete, engagements take up to 6 weeks, and seniors, boudoir and family sessions take 4-5 weeks. I ALWAYS send a big handful of sneak peeks within 2-7 days! Your finished images will be placed in a beautiful private digital gallery from which you can order high quality prints & albums, and easily share with friends and family if you choose to.


DO YOU HAVE A SECOND SHOOTER?

Second shooters are hired on a case-by-case basis for weddings and elopements. Most of the time I'm a one-woman show! However, if more coverage or travel is deemed necessary, after chatting with you I may bring along an assistant for a portion of your wedding day to make sure we get every shot.


WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY SESSION?

The biggest piece of advice I can offer is to embrace your personal style, and dress comfortably. Play with colors and patterns that compliment each other instead of trying to match perfectly. We’ll take into consideration the location, weather, and your overall style and if you’re still unsure or feeling overwhelmed, feel free to bring a few extra looks along! I will gladly help you decide.


WHAT IF WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE?

I am super flexible with rescheduling. All I ask is that you keep in contact with me, and if we need to move things around due to poor weather, illness, etc., I will completely understand! I do not charge rescheduling fees for most of my portrait sessions.


WHAT IF IT RAINS?

I know that the warmer months can be pretty unpredictable in the midwest, so I will do my best to have a back-up plan for us if it rains. If you’re willing to brave the storms, I always keep a pair of clear umbrellas in my car for rainy day shoots!
